Joan Marie Hernandez, beloved daughter, mother, wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025, at the age of 79.

Joan lived for her family. Her love was quiet but deep, steady, and unconditional. She showed up in the everyday moments — the calls, the check-ins, the unwavering presence that made everyone feel safe and loved.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband Richard Hernandez, with whom she shared 55 beautiful years of marriage. Richard passed just 83 days before her, and from that moment on, Joan's heart longed to be with him again. Anyone who knew her could see how deeply she missed him. Their love never faded, even in separation.

Joan's gentle spirit, kind heart, and quiet strength will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Joan leaves behind her sons, Joel Hernandez and Aaron (Annette) Hernandez; her grandchildren, Tony, Elizabeth, Marie, Junior, and Robert; and her precious great-grandson, Jesse, whom she loved with all her heart. Her greatest joy was her family, and her greatest legacy is the love she poured into each of them.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort knowing she is once again with Richard — hand in hand, together, just as they always were.

She will be missed beyond words and loved forever.
