Joan Semelsberger gently passed away on Christmas Eve.
Born in Detroit, Michigan on September 19, 1927 to British immigrants, Arthur and Janetta Davidson. She was their only child. Her father was a landscape architect and her mother a medical secretary.
She met and married Bert Quinn in San Francisco in 1951. After living abroad for several years, they settled in Lompoc in 1959 to raise their children, Mark Quinn and Susan Quinn-Roth.
Joan was a successful real estate broker and investor. They were both her career and hobby. She attributed her success to the grace of God and her love of the Lompoc community.
Often, she jokingly confessed to having gypsy feet, as she loved traveling extensively throughout the world. She had a great sense of humor and loved to light up conversations with her witty personality.
Preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Bert Quinn, granddaughter, Christina Roth, and her late husband, Donald Semelsberger, Sr. She is survived by her son, daughter, and grandson, Paul Quinn.
A celebration of life will be held at the Village Country Club, Saturday, December 30th from 1-3 PM. All who knew her or her family are welcomed to attend.
