Jody Jean Curts passed away on Feb, 02,2025 at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, CA from complications arising with her heart valve. She had a loved one by her side each day she was in the hospital.

Jody was born on June 22, 1957 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. She spent most of her childhood growing up with her siblings in California. She moved to Lompoc, CA in her 20's and has lived there most of her adult life. Lompoc was where her heart was at.

She had her daughter Jennifer Jean Kimelman in 1990. She took so much pride in being a mother and was always so patient and kind. She would travel to Buena Park and Victorville as she was growing up to be able to watch her grow up. She would take her to amusement parks and mall shopping trips whenever she could. Later in life she became her best friend.

Jody started working at the Convalescent Care Center in Lompoc, CA in 1995. She was so proud to have been working there for 30 years. Her co-workers had become family and were so important to her. She always felt so much pride in her job.

On May 21, 2015 her first and only grandson Landon William Kimelman was born. This was the most joyous day of her life. She was the best grandma and always went above and beyond for him. He brought the most joy to her life. They were two peas in a pod. They loved watching television shows together, this was their favorite pastime.

Jody is preceded in death by Doreen Rose(Mother) and Charles Curts(Father).

Jody is survived by Jennifer Kimelman (Daughter), Landon Kimelman(Grandson), Jamian Curts(Brother), Dana Curts and Tena Curts(Brother), Charles Curts and Robin Curts(Brother), and Hannahmarie Curts (Sister).

A Celebration Of Life will be held on Mar 15, 2025 at 1pm. At Starbuck Lind 123 N A St, Lompoc, CA 93436.
