Daltorio
December 18, 1954 – July 8, 2021
Joel C. Daltorio born 12/18/1954 passed away suddenly at the age of 68. He was an Air Force Brat that was Born in Petaluma, CA. and that moved often, eventually settling in Lompoc, Ca.
Joel started his career in construction as a licensed contractor, starting his own company JD Construction. Many years later he started working for the state of California as a Class II Carpenter in Berkley, Ca. and transferred to California Men's Colony as a Stationary Engineer for the boiler house and eventually retiring after 30 years.
Our dad's love for animals started in high school that turned into a passion for pigs leading into a local farming business. Many of his pigs were entered into Santa Barbara County and Mid State Fairs starting with his children that eventually spread to several other youth including his grandchildren taking a swine to the county fairs throughout the years, up until this day.
His passions were not only for his animals but for his family, and he took pride in his kids and in everything they did. He was also proud of his grandchildren and would always harass them. Joel enjoyed helping others, he would give you the best advice including the shirt off his back.
