IN LOVING MEMORY OF
John Felix
Cutrone
October 6, 1962 – August 8, 2024
John Felix Cutrone, affectionately known as "Pop," passed away on August 8, 2024, in Lompoc, California, at the age of 61. Born on October 6, 1962, in Wheeling, West Virginia, he lived a life marked by dedication to his family, his country, and his passions.
John proudly dedicated 20 years of his life to the U.S. Army, served as an Infantryman, where he was recognized as a sharpshooter and was also a Truck driver for the Armored Personnel Carriers (APCs), ensuring the safe transport of infantry into battle zones.
Following his military service, he channeled his leadership and organizational skills into his own business, founding JC's Moving Services, in San Diego Ca, which specialized in relocating military families.
Beyond his professional life, John was a vibrant man with a passion for life. He was a proud Catholic. He was a familiar face at local sports fields, often coaching his son Douglas's teams in baseball, wrestling, and football. His passion for sports extended to his love for the Pittsburgh Steelers. His hobbies were as dynamic as his personality, ranging from a passion for classic cars, motorcycles, and dirt bikes to quieter pursuits like fishing, boating, and gardening. John also enjoyed singing country songs on his porch, and sharing laughter with those around him.
John is survived by his wife of 43 years, Pamela; his son, Douglas, and daughter-in-law, Jessica; and his beloved grandchildren, Mackenzie, Jacob, and Keiara, who adored their "Pop." He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Agnes and Felix Cutrone.
The family will gather to honor John's life on August 27, 2024, at Lompoc Cemetery District. The family has entrusted Starbuck-Lind Mortuary in Lompoc, CA, with the funeral arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Red Cross in memory of John, honoring his life of service and care for others. John's life was marked by his service, both to his country and his community, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him
