John G. MacIntyre, Jr.
1925 – 2008
John G. MacIntyre of Lompoc died Friday, December 12, 2008, at the age of 83.
John was born July 5, 1925 in Clinton, Massachusetts to John and Grace MacIntyre. After completing his service in the United States Navy he worked for the city of Honolulu, Hawaii in its water treatment plant. During his career he spent 28 years as a chemical operator with Pfitzer Chemical Company. He was a member of te American Legion in Clinton, Massachusetts.
John is survived by his wife of 31 years Frances MacIntyre of Lompoc, daughter and her husband Susan and Bob Johnson-Erner of Colorado, daughter Janice MacIntyre of Providence, Rhode Island, daughter Margaret MacIntyre of Westerly, Rhode Island, son and his wife Peter and Elanor MacIntyre of Williamston, Michigan, stepdaughter and her husband Kay and Greg Austen of Topanga Canyon, California, step daughter and her husband Linda and David Kauffman of Washington, D.C., seven grandchildren and one great grandson.
Cremation will be followed by private inurnment. A memorial service will be held in Honolulu, Hawaii at a later date.
