A celebration of life for John Alan Wilke, 49, of Lompoc, will be 10:15 a.m. Sunday, April 19, 2009 at Jalama Beach.
John was born January 5, 1960 in Plattsburgh, New York to Frederick and Syble McDonald Wilke. He had lived in Lompoc since 1965 and attended local schools. John worked in construction for several years specializing in tile and was considered a master tile setter. His favorite pastimes included spending time outdoors where he especially loved to surf at Jalama Beach.
He died Sunday, April 12, 2009 at his home in Lompoc.
Beloved sisters, Jane Moore of Harrison, Arkansas, Fredericka Pierce of Eagle Point, Oregon, and little sister Anna Eubank of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; nephew, Dakota Eubank of Fort Walton Beach; nieces, D'Anna Wilcox of Medford, Oregon, Candice Hall of Lompoc, and Erika McKay of Fort Walton Beach; and great-niece and nephew, Kylie and Keith Alan of Lompoc all survive him. He also leaves behind his dearest friends David and Jeannie Schuyler. His father and mother, and sisters, Suzanne Wilke and Joan Waterman, preceded him in death.
