Johnny King, 76, passed away on Monday, June 16th, 2014 at his home in Lompoc, California. He is survived by his loving family, which includes his wife, Chris King; five children and their spouses, Anthony, Cynthia, Michael and Christine King, Richard and Tammi King, and Jeff and Lynda King; grandchildren Jasmine and Brianna King, Philip and Daniel Pryce, and Latonya Eddington. His memory will also live on through his extended family here and abroad, including Rowena Remigio and her two daughters; Allan and Ramona and their four children; and Felino Jr. and Wilma and their two sons; and Dennis and Heidi Dalangin and their four children.
Although he was born in Columbus, Georgia, Johnny King's 20 years in the U.S. Air Force took him all over the world and eventually he settled in Lompoc, California. Johnny touched many young people's lives while he coached youth football and baseball in Lompoc. He loved barbequing for his family and his jovial spirit and caring heart added life and energy to any occasion. Johnny King lived a life of service in all aspects of his life and he will truly be missed.
A viewing will be held on Friday, June 20th from 4-5pm for family and 5-8pm for guests, and his memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, June 21st at 10am, all at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. A reception will be held at River Park following the services.
