Jonathan Ronald Mundt passed away on February 9, 2021. Jonathan was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, on December 17, 1948, to Orville and Stella Mundt.

At the age of 3, his family moved to the Island of Aruba, where his father worked for an oil company. Jonathan was an avid swimmer who grew up skin diving in the waters of the island.

At the age 17, Jonathan left Aruba to attend Kansas State University. He studied and became a Plant Pathologist. After college, he was hired by Bodger Seeds Company in Lompoc where he worked until the 1990's. He then went to work for the Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District until his retirement.

He was a good son who cared for his elderly mother for many years.

Jonathan had a sarcastic wit, love of cats, and a generous nature, as his good friends and neighbors Doug and Kathy Rehn will attest to.

Jonathan is preceded in death by his grandmother Stella Bachofen, his brother Randolph Mundt, his sister Cynthia Wood, his father Orville Mundt, and his mother Stella Anna Mundt. He is survived by his son Jonathan Allan Mundt and granddaughter Nadia Mundt.
