Obituary

With deepest sorrow, we announce that, Jose "Joey" Ramon Ochoa, our most beloved son, brother, family member and friend went to be with the Lord on January 29th, 2019 with his family by his side.

Joey was born to Jose "Joe" Lopez Ochoa and Karen M. Ochoa of Lompoc, CA, on July 23, 1976. He was preceded in death by his sister, Teresa "Terri" M. Ochoa, on Sept. 11, 1999, and his mother, Karen M. Ochoa, on March 1, 2012, he will rest with his most beloved, including his Aunt Marleen.

Although only 42 at the time of his death, Joey affected many people in his lifetime. Joey will be sadly missed everyday by his Father, Joe L. Ochoa, brother Rick Ochoa, niece Kayla Ochoa, Grandmother Carmen Lopez Ochoa, all of Lompoc, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in California and Utah. Joey loved his family and friends, and his love for animals was undeniable, he leaves behind his dog, Mugsy and Mijo, his cat.

Joey was raised in Lompoc and graduated in 1994 from Lompoc High School where he excelled in the Art of Music. He played many instruments, with the clarinet being his most favorite. Preparing meals and trying new dishes was something Joey got enjoyment out of and he was very good at it.

Joey was blessed with many talents but his true gift was caring for people. He had a heart for those in need and never gave up on them. He loved making people laugh with his funny stories and his contagious smile, and was always there to listen when you needed a friend. Joey always put everyone above his own needs, the loss he carried in his heart he put forth in loving other people. He was one of a kind and a true Guardian Angel.

Joey you will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing you. People may forget what you said, or they may forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.

A quiet time for prayer and visitation will be at 5:00pm with a vigil at 7:00pm at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary, 123 N. "A" St., Lompoc, CA on Monday, March 4, 2019.
