José "Tony" was born on September 5th 1953 in Tepic, Nayarit MX to Antonio and Esmeralda.  He came to Santa Barbara, Ca in 1977 with his mom, sister and brother.

In 1981 he married Maribel and they welcomed their first son José.  The following year they welcomed a second son Raymundo and finally in 1987 they welcomed a daughter Mariel.

José "Tony" was a CNA and CPA.  When he wasn't working he was at home listening to his favorite music for all to hear.

On the early morning of Thursday, December 15th 2022 he passed away peacefully with family by his side after a short battle with cancer.

He is survived by his wife Maribel, their three children Jose, Raymundo, Mariel, his son in law Alberto and his nine grandchildren Joseph, Sofia, Isaiah, Steven, Santiago, Raymond, Samantha, Selena and Aliyah.  He is also survived by his sister Esmeralda and her husband Jack, his niece Crystal, his younger brother Jorge and his wife Lourdes, his nieces Melody, Georgina and nephews Jorge, Michael and Christian as well as cousins, friends and his beloved dog Negrita.

We will miss his quick-witted humor, laughter and love of music.
