IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joseph M.
Denton
March 31, 1950 – November 9, 2024
Joseph M. Denton passed away on November 9, 2024 at his home in Lompoc surrounded by his family and dearest friends. He was born in Bakersfield, California where he grew up on a farm with his parents Laudeen and Richard Denton, and his brother Richard and sister Alys.
Joe was a true blessing to everyone who knew him, he enjoyed his life and lived to the fullest. Joe is the father to his four surviving children Jill, Joey, Laura, and Amy. He had also become a grandfather to seven, and a great-grandfather to three.
He loved the great outdoors and always made sure there was time for family vacations to places like Yellowstone, Yosemite, Crater Lake, the Redwoods, and many other beautiful destinations that will forever be deeply treasured. Joe was a man who saw so much beauty in all the gifts God had given us in nature. He enjoyed spending his time camping, fishing in the Kern River, prospecting in the mountains, going on road trips, and spending his time with his family and friends. He had worked as a scuba diver at Port San Luis, then later became a car salesman in Bakersfield and in Lompoc, where he then retired.
Joe valued every moment he spent with his loved ones, as we will forever value our moments with him. If anyone asked for a helping hand, he would always be there. His bright charming smile and his beautiful soul will stay vivid in our memory of him.
Joe Denton is forever loved by us all. He was optimistic, gracious, loving, kind, and had a sense of humor. Our dear Joe, you will be deeply missed by us all. You will forever live on in our hearts. We love you forever, God bless you.
