Joyce Gonzales a long time resident of Lompoc passed away surrounded by family early Saturday morning, November 30, 2013.

Joyce is survived by her sisters Violet and Joan, her children, Lorraine & Wade Nygren, Paul Gonzales, Debbie Lautieri, Michael and Lori Gonzales and their families, including 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Joyce is preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Manuel Gonzales; her sister Jean and her parents John and Elizabeth Froggatt; also her cherished granddaughter Jeanette Nygren-Hughes.

Joyce was born on June 10, 1935 in Birmingham, England. She met her beloved husband Manuel while he was in the military stationed in England. After retiring from the Air Force they settled in Lompoc where they raised their family.

Joyce was a longtime member of the English Wives Club. Joyce enjoyed gardening, watching cooking shows and crocheting. Her favorite time was spent watching her grandchildren grow, and cooking for her friends and family.

All who knew and loved Joyce are welcome to attend a service on Friday, December 6th. at 1:00 pm at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary Chapel. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
