Juanita Moreno Jimenez of Lompoc died Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at the age of 96.

Juanita was born on September 9, 1921 in Hallettsville, Texas to Eugene and Maria Moreno. She was preceded in death by her husband Alejandro Martinez Jimenez who passed on September 29, 1976. They were blessed with three children; Ramona Jimenez Cabrera, Catalina Jimenez Noriega and Lalo Jimenez.

Juanita moved to Lompoc in 1961 from Harlingen, Texas. She then moved to Santa Maria in 1982 and then back to Lompoc in 2007.

Juanita is survived by her three children; her grandchildren Frank Jr. Cabrera, Reinaldo Cabrera, Linda Cabrera Brown, Diana Cabrera, David Cabrera, Susan Noriega Pratts, Raymond Noriega, Jr., Christopher Noriega, Judy Noriega and Aaron Noriega. She also leaves behind sixteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one grandchild, Sonia Cabrera Coaxum.

The visitation will be from 3-8pm on Thursday, September 21, with a vigil at 6:30pm in the chapel of the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 22, at 10am at La Purisima Catholic Church, followed by burial in the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
