Julietta "Julie" Yanez Aguilar
1936 – 2007
Julie Aguilar of Lompoc passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at the age of 71.
Julie was born April 16, 1936 to Ysabel and Concepcion Yanez in Mesa, Arizona. Her family came to Lompoc when she was six years of age. She attended local schools and graduated from Lompoc High School in 1954.
A lifelong homemaker, Julie's family was her life. She was a member of La Purisima Catholic Church and volunteered every year to help in the church's annual rummage sale.
Julie is survived by her husband of 51 years, Henry Aguilar of Lompoc; son Richard Aguilar of Rancho Cucamonga; son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Shawna Aguilar of Moreno Valley; daughters and their husbands, Ysabel and Matthew Fitts of Moreno Valley, and Theresa and Gilbert Cornejo of Lompoc; sister and brother-in-law, Sylvia and Ronald Villalobos of Lompoc; brother and sister-in-law, Raul and Lynn Yanez of Lompoc; grandchildren, Ricky, Matthew, J.D., Anthony, Daryl, Shellby, Gilby, Evan, Kylie, Taylor, Sommer, Lexi, Emily, L.J., and Savanah. Her son Roy Aguilar preceded her in death in 1994.
The visitation will be on Sunday, July 29, from 3:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary with a Vigil service at 4:00 p.m. led by Monsignor Fitzgerald. The mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, July 30, at 1:00 p.m. at La Purisima Catholic Church by Father Tom Cook. The interment will follow in the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
