Services for June M. Jordan, 72, of Lompoc will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 1, 2007 at the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery with Rev. Robert D. Robison officiating. A memorial service will also be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 10, 2007 at North Avenue Baptist Church, 1523 West North Ave. in Lompoc.
June was born December 20, 1934 in Yokohama, Japan. She has resided in Lompoc since 1969 and was active in the community by sharing her Japanese heritage with students of various youth groups and helped as a den mother for the Boy Scouts. Her favorite pastimes included sewing, cooking, flower arranging, and cake decorating.
She died Saturday October 27, 2007 at Cottage Hospital.
Survivors (and spouses) include her husband of 54 years, Charley Jordan; daughters, Marsha (William) Elliott and Debbie (Craig) Morrison, both of Lompoc, Ruth (Mitch) Gildea of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; sons, Darvin (Linda) Jordan of Palmdale, Calif. and Gregory (Sheri) Jordan of Santa Maria; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. this evening at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Lompoc Artificial Kidney Center, 127 West Pine Ave. 93436 or the North Avenue Baptist Church.
