Karen Sue Edgerton of Lompoc died Sunday, June 8, 2008 at the age of 59.
Keren was born July 28, 1948 in Wyandotte, Michigan to Lowell and Stella Crooks. She was raised and educated in Trenton, Michigan and graduated from Trenton High School.
Formerly of Battle Creek, Michigan Karen has been a resident of Lompoc since 2004. She was a lifelong homemaker, or a "domestic diva" as she preferred to be called. She enjoyed art and poetry and was known to many in Lompoc as "Rappin' Granny." She was an elder with Morris Cerullo World Evangelism and a member of Lompoc Foursquare Church.
Karen is survived by her husband of 25 years Tyrone Edgerton, Sr., her son and daughter-in-law Shiloh and Crystal Gramm of Lompoc, son Israel "Izzy" Edgerton of Lompoc, stepdaughter Suzanne Edgerton Bobeck and her husband Frank of Hiller, Pennsylvania, sister Patricia Henderson of Rockwood, Michigan, granddaughters Ashley Edgerton, Jordyn Needham and Jade Dinius-Gramm, four nieces and one nephew. Her stepson Tyrone Edgerton, Jr. recently preceded her in death.
The visitation will be on Sunday, June 15, 2008 from 3-6 p.m. with the funeral service at 6 p.m. in the chapel of the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. Pastor Todd Lugli of the Well Church in Buellton will officiate. Cremation will be followed by private interment in the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
