Katharina (Kitty) Simpkins

August 1, 1934 – November 16, 2021

Katharina (Kitty) Simpkins was born in Trier Germany on August 1, 1934, to Paul and Barbara (Lorcsche) Trappen. Kitty passed away peacefully on November 16, 2021, in Reno Nevada with her husband Robert and most of her children by her side.

Kitty is survived by her husband of 67 years Robert, five children Fred, Michael, Jeanette Ryan, Barbara Moreland, Debora Vickers, eight Grandchildren, and seven Great-Grandchildren.

Kitty was a loving wife and mother, totally devoted to her family and close friends. Kitty was always busy and determined to keep house and family spotless. Gardening was her favorite pastime and when she was not occupied with her children, housekeeping, and shopping, she could usually be found in the garden working patiently with her flowers and keeping the yard as pristine as possible. Dead leaves and branches were her enemies and destined for the trash can.

Please join us for a celebration of Kitty's life at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary, 123 North A Street in Lompoc on Wednesday, 8 December 2021 at 10 AM followed by interment at the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery and a luncheon at Tom's Restaurant, 113 East College at 12:00 Noon.
