Obituary
Kathie (Wade) Dowdall passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, November 23, 2013.
Kathie is survived by her daughter Stacey Dowdall and her grandson Matthias of Camarillo, CA. She is also survived by her sister Sandy Poyner of Lompoc, CA, and her brothers-in-law Greg Dowdall of San Francisco and Terry Dowdall of El Verano, CA. She leaves behind many cousins and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Bert and Helen Wade of Lompoc, CA.
Kathie was born in Lompoc on April 8, 1948, and resided in Lompoc for over 50 years.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, painting ceramics, entertaining guests and cooking fabulous meals. In her later years she enjoyed watching many cooking shows, sharing recipes and visiting with friends and family. She was a loving caretaker to her mother, Helen, until her death in 1999.
Kathie worked at the American Legion Post 211 for many ears and also volunteered at the VFW Post in Lompoc. She was a member of the Ladies' Auxiliary of the American Legion.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2013, from 4 pm to 7 pm at Starbuck-Lind mortuary.
All who knew her and loved her are invited to attend a memorial service on Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at 2 pm at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery. A reception will follow at American Legion Post 211.
