1928 – 2009
Keith Graham Nelson, 80, died on Saturday, January 3, 2009, at his home in Lompoc.
Keith was born on May 6, 1928, to Graham and Jennie Nelson, in Yorkshire, England. He was raised and educated in Yorkshire, England, and joined the British Army serving in Trieste, Italy, and Egypt. He joined the United States Air Force and ended his career in Lompoc. Keith worked for Martin-Marrieta for ten years and worked for Lester's Carpet for several years. He enjoyed reading United States history, was a sportscar enthusiast, and an avid gun and knife collector.
Keith is survived by his wife of 58 years, Bonnie; daughters, Toni and husband Jim Christy of North Coeur D Alene, Idaho, Susan and husband Mike Paschal of Cripple Creek, Colorado, and Carol and husband Dan Swinney of Salem, Oregon; four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
The family of Keith Nelson thanks Dr. Gilbert Andersen and his staff for their care.
At the request of the family, no services will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.
