Kenneth "Kenny" Joseph Kane III, 71, passed away Tuesday, September 22nd, 2015 in Lompoc, California. A Memorial Service is planned for Wednesday, September 30th at 1100 am at the Lompoc Cemetery Pavilion. A potluck style reception will be held at a location that will be announced at the service.
Kenny was born in Santa Cruz, California to his parents Kenneth Kane Jr. and Patricia O'Connor on August 28th, 1944. Kenny moved with his father and mother to Lompoc when he was a child.
Kenny attended and graduated from Lompoc high school in 1964. Kenny honorably served his country in the Army for six years as a vehicle operator. He then worked for 45 years at the Lompoc Cemetery before his retirement in March of this year.
Kenny's hobbies included hunting, his horses, coin collecting, gun engraving, fishing, watching NASCAR, and he was the San Francisco 49ers #1 fan.
Kenny was survived by his wife Ruth, his daughters Kendra (Joseph) Berlotti, their sons Jordan and Devan, Melissa (her partner Chad) Marple, and her son Miles, and Stephanie (her partner Zach) Marple, and her daughters, Kiya and Kinley. He was also survived by his sisters, Kassie (Tom) Wall, and Karen (George) Perry. Kenny is also survived by numerous other family and friends.

The family is requesting those who attend the service to be dressing in 49ers apparel or team colors, or Lompoc Braves apparel or team colors. In Kenny's true light hearted spirit, he would love to see all the people in attendance wearing his team's apparel or colors.
