Kim Fabing, 61 years of age, passed away peacefully at his home in Lompoc, CA on Tuesday, April 12, 2016. Kim was born on June 23, 1954 in Lompoc, CA to Jessie Koenig and the late Everett Fabing.

Kim was preceded in death by his father Everett Fabing and sister Ginger Fabing. Kim is survived by his wife and beloved companion of 29 years Melanie Fabing; his children Alyssa Fabing-Buergey, Danielle Marshall, Skye Fabing, Carrie Chadbourne, Stephanie Grimaldi, Ashley Fabing; his mother Jessie Koenig; his siblings Mick, Jeff, Darrell, Roger, Darla, Mark, Dana, Colista, his grandchildren: Kayla, Kali, Jose, Ava, Sofia, Kaden, and Silas; his loving in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

Kim's passions in life were his family, road trips to Vegas and Ohio with his Road Atlas in hand, making wine barrel fountains, gardening, and storytelling of his adventures with his childhood friend Vito.

A memorial and celebration of life will be held on Saturday April 23, 2016 at Ken Adam Park in Lompoc, CA. The memorial will be held at 10 am followed by a celebration of life/BBQ at 1pm. RSVP by Wednesday April 20th to kimfabingmemorial@gmail.com.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Santa Barbara Cancer Center or a charity of your choice.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Kim's doctors, surgeons, nurses, and caretakers at the Cancer Center of Santa Barbara, UCLA, and the Lompoc Valley Medical Center.
