Kim passed away, with family by her side, following an extended illness. She was born in Fort Worth, Texas, where her parents attended Texas Christian University but lived in Lompoc for almost her entire life. After graduation in 1974, Kim attended Santa Barbara Business College. She was well known in the community through her work in real property management, through Culberson Construction Co. and ERA.
Kim was a kind and generous soul. She was married to the love of her life, Chester Phebus, who passed in November 1996. She was a member of the Generations United Church in Lompoc. Kim was the eldest daughter of Bill and Connie Culberson, both deceased. She is survived by her sisters Charmon Williams (Kenneth) of Portland, Oregon; Jennifer Ritchie (Jeffrey) of Hillsboro, Oregon; nephews Brent Williams and Kenneth Williams, Jr. both of Hillsboro, Oregon; and by her aunt, Barbara Culberson of Lompoc. She is also survived by her cousins Michelle Shortle (Jim) of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Warren Lee Culberson (Koren) of Lompoc, Dale Edens of El Paso, Texas, Mark Edens of Claude, Texas, and Chris Edens (DeEtte) of Levelland, Texas.
There will be a private family service. She will be interred at Lompoc Cemetery. Remembrances can be sent to a charity of your choice.
