Memorial services for Kimberly Renee Hamlin, 49, of Lompoc, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Trinity Church of the Nazarene, 500 East North Avenue in Lompoc, with Pastor Duane Armstrong officiating. Private inurnment will be at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.

Kimberly, a native of Lompoc, was born January 17, 1962. She graduated from Lompoc High in 1980 and attended Allan Hancock College where she received a dental assisting certificate. Kim later attended Fresno State and earned a Bachelors of Art in Psychology. She had worked for the last several years as Executive Director of the Lompoc Valley Chapter of the United Way.

She died Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at her home.

Survivors (spouses) include mother Pat Hamlin of Lompoc; sister Wendy (Rick) McDonald of Lompoc; nephews Zach (April) McDonald and Mathew (Paige) McDonald. She was preceded in death by her father Bruce Hamlin.
Her hobbies included being a movie critic. She loved watching movies and giving her opinion on them. She was also the all time survivor fan. Kim's most favorite thing to do was cooking. She loved to cook gourmet food. She was the Rachel Ray of Lompoc.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
