Kiyo Socia passed away peacefully on April 15 , 2023, at the age of 84, after a long struggle with a lung condition.

She was born in Miyako Okinawa, Japan on May 20, 1938, to Seisuki and Kame Shinjo. She is survived by her husband James Socia of 57 years, retired military and LUSD special needs school bus driver, her son Michael J., grandchildren Michael D. and his wife Renee, Ashley, Summer and Sahara, great grandchildren Eli, Amelia, K'hole, Kiyo and Rayn.

She was loved by many and will never be forgotten. She helped her friends in need through prayer and comfort. The Celebration of Life will be at the Lompoc Cemetery Pavilion, 600 South C Steet at 10:00 am Saturday, May 20, 2023.
