Lambert Huerta formerly of Lompoc passed away in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 17, 2007. He was 53 years old.

Lambert was born in Michoacan, Mexico on April 15, 1954 to Carlos and Josepa Huerta. He came to the United States as a young boy to live with his aunt Tina and uncle Jesus in Lompoc. He was raised by the Sandoval family, Chuey, Luis, Eloy, Juanito, Lupe, Amelio, and Magi. After his marriage to Adella Rojas of Lompoc in 1984, he was lovingly accepted by her family as well. He moved to Las Vegas in 2000.

Lambert went to work at an early age and was know as a hard worker. He was last employed at I.N.D. Pallet Company in Las Vegas. Lambert had a big, loving heart and he touched everyone he met. He enjoyed watching soccer, baseball and playing poker.

Lambert is survived by his wife of 23 years, Adella Huerta of Las Vegas; daughter, Monica French of Las Vegas; sons, Lambert Huerta of Imperial, California and Angel Huerta of Las Vegas; his mother-in-law, Katie Rojas of Lompoc; son-in-law George Trevino and daughter-in-law Ellisette Huerta of Wasco; a grandson, Jacob Sanchez; two brothers, Samuel and Marcelino Huerta of Michoacan, Mexico; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gloria and Frank Cobos of Las Vegas, John and Linda Arevalos, Beabea and Sal Reyna, Nena Valdivia, Lisa Rojas all of Lompoc and his nina, Wave Navarro of Lompoc. Many cousins, nieces and nephews in the Sandoval and Rojas families of Lompoc also survive him. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-laws Mike Rojas in 2006 and Edward Rojas and his father-in-law Edward R. Rojas, both in 2003.

The visitation will be on Saturday, May 27, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. Cremation will be followed by private inurnment.
