Laurel Beth Beaudry of Lompoc died Friday, January 1, 2010, at the age of 83.
Laurel Beth was born April 16, 1926, in Minnetonka, Minnesota. She was raised in Minnetonka, and later attended the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. She married Charles Langworthy Beaudry in Minnetonka in 1951. Together as an Army family, they were stationed in various parts of the United States and overseas. The family has been a resident of Lompoc since 1967.
Laurel Beth was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church and a member and past president of the Alpha Club. She was a lifelong homemaker, a mother of three children, and a good friend to many. She loved art and music and specialized in growing African Violets.
Laurel is survived by her son Charles Lane Beaudry and his wife Wanda of Shingle Springs, California, daughter Beth Copeland and her husband Winston of San Jose, son John Langworthy Beaudry and his wife Anita, currently living in England, brother Riley Lane and his wife Louise of Auburn, brother Forest Lane of Seattle, Washington, and four grandchildren, Elise Douglas, Laura Douglas, Anne Beaudry and Michelle Beaudry. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Charles Langworthy Beaudry who passed away in 2008.
Father Michael Cunningham will direct the memorial service on Friday January 8, 2010, at 11 am at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, followed by interment in St. Mary's Memory Garden. Reception to follow in the church's Parish Hall.
