Obituary

Larry Manfrina, 67, passed away January 16 peacefully at his home in Lompoc, CA. Born August 21, 1946 to Domingo and Josephine Manfrina, Larry was a local pioneer of Lompoc California. He graduated Lompoc High in 1963 and then attended Cal State Fullerton. Larry served in the Navy from 1966-1970 as a 2nd Class Aviation Electrician. While in the Navy he was stationed in Japan and Vietnam. In 1968, Larry, while back home attending his grandmother's funeral, met the love of his life in Susan Ortiz. In 1971, they exchanged vows in Las Vegas, NV. That same year Larry became employed at Celite Corporation and recently retired in 2013 with 42 years of service.

Larry was truly a genuine person who brought out the best in those around him. He was true to his character as a person who always had a positive outlook on life and cherished his family and friends. Larry was an avid golfer and had a difficult time finding the fairway since retirement. But nevertheless, he enjoyed sharing the fairways with family and friends.

Larry is survived by his wife Susan ; son Kristopher Manfrina of San Francisco, CA; son Kelly Manfrina of Lompoc; sister Marlene (Marvin) Grossi of Santa Maria, CA; and an extended family
A Celebration of Larry's Life will be held on Monday, January 20th at the Schuyler's River Bottom at 1pm. All family, friends, and foursome partners are invited to celebrate Larry's favorite pastimes of eating, drinking and storytelling.
