Leonard
Flowers Jr.
March 5, 1959 – April 4, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Leonard Flowers Jr., who left this world peacefully on April 4, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family and friends. Born on March 5, 1959, in San Jose, California, Leonard was a beacon of light for all who knew him, a man whose warmth and humor touched countless lives. Leonard was the beloved son of the late Viola and Leonard Flowers and brother to the late Gerald Stanley Spry.
He grew up in a home filled with love, laughter, and the unyielding support of his family. His sister, Linda Spry Cain, survives him and holds fond memories of their shared childhood. Leonard was a devoted father to his only son, Richard, who, with his wife Elicia, carries forward Leonard's legacy of kindness and integrity. He was also a cherished stepfather to Christina Nicolas, who, alongside her husband Fredric, was an integral part of Leonard's life. Leonard found immense joy in his role as a grandfather to Little Richard, Emilio, Reyna, and Leah, and as a great-grandfather to two precious great-grandchildren, who were the apples of his eye. In his professional life, Leonard was known for his skill and dedication as both an auto mechanic and a ranch hand. His work was a testament to his character—hardworking, meticulous, and always willing to lend a helping hand. His love for working with horses spoke to his gentle spirit and deep respect for nature.
Leonard’s interests were as diverse as they were meaningful. He was passionate about Native American beading, an art form he pursued with patience and creativity. More than anything, Leonard cherished spending time with those he loved, sharing stories, laughter, and his infectious joy for life. His personal qualities were admired by all: funny, smart, and handsome, Leonard had an amazing personality that made everyone feel loved and welcomed. He had a rare gift for making people laugh, and his presence was a comfort to those around him.
Leonard was engaged to Elizabeth, his devoted fiancée, who stood by his side with unwavering love and support. Together, they shared dreams and built a life filled with love and happiness. In honoring Leonard’s wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to celebrate his remarkable life.
The family appreciates the outpouring of love and support from friends and loved ones during this difficult time. Leonard Flowers Jr. leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
