Mr. Greenfield was a quiet man and "a man of few words" very strict and military. He lost both of his parents at a very tender age and his grandmother and aunts raised him. He joined the army and then the air force and retired in 1973 with over 20 years of honorable service. He was well traveled and went to many places including Korea, Philippines, Germany, Washington D.C., Illinois, and more. Mr. Greenfield had his own small business called L&G Woods. He would spend hours in his wood shop making and refinishing furniture. He also made many other things like angels, birdhouses, baby furniture, and would help businesses that needed him to refinish and fix furniture. Mr. Greenfield loved all sports and especially loved to golf. One of his favorite pastimes was playing pool and he enjoyed fishing and shooting skeet. He made beautiful ceramics and painted with perfection. He also liked to garden and was proud of his yard. He had a singing voice like Frank Sinatra and was "King of his Castle".
