Leslie L. Hutchinson, Jr. died Friday, November 23, 2007 at his home in Lompoc at the age of 63.
Leslie was born March 28, 1944 to Leslie and Mary Ellen Hutchinson in Lawrence, Kansas. He was raised and educated in Honolulu, Hawaii, and attended the University of Hawaii. He has been a resident of Lompoc since 1997.
Leslie was an all around entrepreneur. He owned a retail auto parts and repair business in Marin County before moving to Lompoc. For the last five years he has been self-employed repairing computers. He was known around the community as a true humanitarian.
He is survived by his son Matthew Hutchinson and his wife Sarah of Spokane, Washington, his son Joseph Hutchinson of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, his mother Mary Ellen Hutchison of Vandenberg Village, and his brother Robert Hutchinson of Vandenberg Village. He was preceded in death by his father Leslie Hutchinson, Sr. in 1988.
The mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Father Tom Cook on Thursday, November 29, 2007, at 10 am at La Purisima Catholic Church in Lompoc with private inurnment in the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.
