Lester Geist, 90, of Lompoc, California, passed away on May 12, 2020. He had been a resident of Santa Barbara County for 53 years. Lester was born to Lester Diller Geist and Beulah Martha Gaus Geist on June 11, 1929, in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

Lester spent his 24-year career with the United States Air Force. He was a member and past master of the Free Masons of California, and he received the Hiram Award, he was also a 45 year member of the American Legion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling.

Lester is survived by his wife of 70 years, Betty MacGregor Geist; his son Lester D. Geist III and his wife Kathleen and their sons Cody & Brody Geist of Alabama; his daughter Barbara Anne Bennett and her daughters Amy Snyder and Sarah (Vaughn) Bechtol; and two great grandchildren Cameron Alexander and Danielle Marie.
