Lieven Peirtsegaele, 55, passed away on December 22, 2015 at 6:56 pm. On that day, the world lost an incredibly noble human being. Lieven was doing what he loved most, mountain biking his favorite Lompoc trail on a beautiful day with his two daughters (Elke and Nikki), wife (Yvonne), and a group of amazing friends.
A loving and selfless husband, an amazingly dedicated father, an avid outdoor enthusiast, and a knowledgeable and caring Physical Therapist, Lieven lived a wonderful and much too short life. He knew how to live life to the fullest, constantly telling silly jokes, cracking himself up, and putting smiles on people's faces.
Although he will be terribly missed, we can only be humbled by the fact that Lieven will continue to live through others. His liver, kidneys, bone, tissue, skin, and cornea were successfully donated; he's given someone the ability to see with his beautiful eyes. Lieven continues to be a giver of life, love, and happiness; we couldn't imagine him leaving any other way and will forever remain in our hearts. Proost to a wonderful human being.
Please join us in remembering, honoring, and celebrating Lieven's life on January 23, 2016 in the Providence Landing Clubhouse at 699 Mercury Avenue in Lompoc, from 2 to 4 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to "LVDC" with envelop and check memos in attention to "Dr. Trettin Scholarship in Memory of Lieven Peirtsegaele". Mail tax deductible donations to PO Box 694, Lompoc, CA 93438.
