Lillian J. Clark of Lompoc died at her home on Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at the age of 79.
Lillian was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to Lester and Helen Johnson. She was raised and educated in nursing in New Orleans. In 1993, she moved to Lompoc and worked as a relief nurse at what is now known as the Comprehensive Care Center.
In 1994 she married Clarence Clark, Jr. Together they attended the Church of Christ in Santa Maria and the True Vine Bible Fellowship in Lompoc. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening.
Along with her husband, Lillian is survived by her daughter Jo-Ann Street of Lompoc; her sister Dorothy DeClouet of Slidell, Louisiana; her stepsons Clarence (Sylvia) Clark, III of Northern California, and Frank (Lita) Clark of Georgia; her stepdaughters Mercedes Clark of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Juanita Clark of Los Angeles; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Services will be 12-noon Saturday, December 7, 2013 at True Vine Bible Fellowship, 533 Avalon St. in Lompoc, with Rev. Darryl Fort officiating. Viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday before service time at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. Burial with military honors will be on Monday, December 9 at 11 a.m. at the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
