Lillian Claire Ochs passed away February 20, 2023, at the age of 87 in Lompoc California, where she resided since 1969. Lillian was born in 1935 in San Francisco California to Mary and Edward Murphy.
She was well-known and well-loved and was an integral part of the community. She belonged to the Cotillion Dance Club, Lompoc Concert Association, and volunteered at PCPA Theaterfest for over 20 years.
Lillian loved being with family and friends, and with her outgoing nature always made new friends to chat with. She had a great sense of humor and made others laugh. She always appreciated the value of a helping hand, the value of family, and the value of her Irish roots. She had a marvelous ability to join any conversation and attain new friends. She sincerely preserved contact with friends and family throughout her life with cards, letters, calls, emails, and gatherings. Lillian delighted in hosting events and entertaining guests.
She was an avid reader of crafting publications and fiction novels, she enjoyed solving crosswords, puzzles, and playing games. She was creative and made many crafts that will be kept, used, and treasured. Among those crafts was cooking. Her cookies have no equal and her creative spirit was key to many delightful meals.
She had an adventurous streak that was evident as a young woman traveling across the country with friends and as a companion on many trips in later life.
She is survived by and missed by her sons William (Debbie), Robert (Cindy), and grandson Elijah.
