Lisa Marie Burrell of Lompoc California passed away Sunday, September 14, 2014, at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital at the age of 40.
Lisa was born April 17, 1974 in Santa Maria, California, to Timothy, Jr. and Lillie Burrell.
Lisa was raised in Lompoc California. We always knew she was someone very special. She attended La Canada Elementary School skipping Kindergarten and advancing to the 1st Grade. She attended La Purisima Catholic School from 2nd – 8th grade, graduated from Cabrillo Senior High School as an early graduate in 1992, Graduated from Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria California with an AA degree and then continuing on to Santa Barbara City College for one year to study Culinary Arts.
Lisa had many life interests, Guitar, Drums, old classic radio, Music, western movies and played Softball and Tennis as a child.
Lisa was also interested in the study of Juvenile Diabetes. Lisa would like everyone to participate in diabetes research and education by sending donations to the "Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation".
Lisa accepted Christ at an early age while attending First Southern Baptist Church in Lompoc California. She was baptized April 7, 1985, by Reverend Dr. Wayne Swindall. Lisa liked all scripture in the Holy Bible. Through all that she went through in life her testimony to all was to have faith and hope in God, you will not be disappointed.
Lisa is survived by, mother Mrs.Lillie Burrell, Sandra Calico (James), Dionne Burrell, Theresa Walker (Reverend Michael), George Burrell, Phillip Burrell, Daniel Burrell (Alba), Michelle Jeanpierre (Mark) and a host of nephews, nieces, Great nephews, Great nieces and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father Mr. Timothy Burrell, Jr.,brother Timothy Burrell,and her grandparents.
Reverend Michael Walker officiated at the funeral service and burial which was held on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 in the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
