Obituary

Lloyd was born May 13, 1931 in Odell, Arkansas to Thomas Clyde Cole and Leona Dobbs Cole. His family later moved to Ephrata, Washington where he grew up. He joined the U.S. Navy Reserves in 1949 and the U.S. Air Force in 1951. He came to Vandenberg Air Force Base in 1958 to work on the ICBM Atlas project. After his air force service, he worked for ITT Federal Electric Corporation, Kentron Hawaii LTD and then back to Federal Electric where he retired. He was a long time member of American Legion Post 211 and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows.
Lloyd is survived by his wife Dolly Anne Cole; daughter Debra De Le Cruz of Lompoc; brother Vernon Cole of Soap Lake, Washington; sister Norma Evelyn Cole of Oxnard; grandsons Eric Price and Sterling Ranft of Lompoc.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son Thomas Cole, brother Kenneth Herbert Cole; sister Betty Gahl; and granddaughter Robyn Price. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, August 12, 2013 at the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
