Lloyd George Taylor, Jr. was born to the late Lloyd and Elizabeth Taylor on December 27, 1942, in Boonville, Mo. Lloyd attended St. Joseph's School and C.C. Hubbard High School in Sedalia, Mo., where he was a member of the basketball and football teams. After graduating, Lloyd served honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1962 to 1966 where he fought in the Vietnam War. After leaving the service he played semi-pro football. Then Lloyd married Barbara Ann Taylor, adopted, and helped raise her four sons and they moved to Oakland, CA. After separating, Lloyd lived his adult life in Richmond, CA with his partner Venita until her passing. After her passing, Lloyd moved to Lompoc, CA to be closer to his sister and her family. He decided to set his residence in Solvang, CA., where he had a lot of friends and one special friend "Randy".

Lloyd was preceded in death by his mother and father, Lloyd and Elizabeth Taylor, his grandparents, Florence, and Leonard Hincher Sr., one nephew, Charles Hincher, Jr. one niece, Darla J. Brown, four uncles, Edgar Hincher, Charles Hincher, Sr., Leonard Hincher Jr., and Russel Smith, and one aunt, Marjari Hincher.

Lloyd is survived by his one and only sister, Bessie Johnson, his two daughters (Alameda, CA), four stepsons (Vallejo, CA), four nieces, Cassandra Chappell (Zavian) (Lompoc, CA), Latwila Frelot (Wayne) (Lompoc, CA), Angie Gray and Latoya Sims (Los Angeles, CA), one nephew, Eugene Sims, Jr. (Los Angeles, CA) and a lot of great and great-great nieces and nephews. Lloyd will be missed.

A memorial service will be held at Grace Temple Missionary Baptist Church 201 South H Street, Lompoc, CA. on Friday, October 21, 2022, at 2 pm.
