Obituary
Lorean B. Brooks, lifelong resident of Lompoc passed away Friday, January 3, 2007 at her home at the age of 93.
Lorean was born in Lompoc on October 10, 1913 to David and Emily (Huyck) Horn. She graduated from Lompoc High School in 1932. She and her husband Samuel were the owners of Brooks Plumbing Service in Lompoc for almost 30 years. She was a member of the Lompoc Valley Woman's Club and the Lompoc Grange. She enjoyed camping, traveling with fellow Grange members, and playing cards.
Lorean is survived by her sons, Robert and his wife Lynn Brooks of Carmel, and Ed Brooks of Lompoc; daughter-in-law, Cathy Brooks of Lompoc; brothers, Edgar Horn, and Stanley Horn; 5 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Irving Brooks in 1979.
The funeral arrangements are pending.
