Loren Kerr, Sr. 85 of Lompoc died Friday November 7, 2014 at the Lompoc Convalescent Care Center surrounded by family.

Loren was born in Spokane, WA on December 18, 1928. Loren attended grade school at Lincoln Elementary School and graduated from John Rogers High School in Spokane, WA. He joined the Navy in 1952 and was honorably discharged in 1956 at San Diego, CA. where he was stationed. Loren then went to work at Vandenberg Air Force Base where he worked for 15 years with Martin Marietta and Lockheed. He attended Alan Hancock College for 2 years. He then managed his own real estate property in Lompoc, some of which he built himself for the next 35 years.

Loren is survived by his children Loren Kerr, Jr (Chip), Louisiana; Clarissa Genho, Los Angeles; Kathy Kerr, Northridge; Robert Kerr, Oregon and stepchildren Arnold(Rudy) Didrickson, Lompoc; Susan McConnaughey, Lompoc; Cindy Stiles, Los Osos; Kelly Didrickson, Lompoc; 19 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.

There will be a celebration of life on Friday, November 14, 2014 at 2:00-3:00 pm at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.
