Loretta Hannah, 75, died at home October 15, 2014, after a long fight with the terrible disease of cancer, with her husband John and daughter Roseanne at her side. A Lompoc native and descendant of a Lompoc founder, Loretta was born April 15, 1939 to Tony and Frieda Stanich. She attended Lompoc school system graduating from Lompoc High School in 1957. She went on to earn a Associates Degree from Allan Hancock College.
She is survived by her husband of almost 58 years, John O. Hannah. Daughter Roseanne Rapoza (David) of Lompoc, Granddaughters, Cristin Casper and Amanda Casper, Great-granddaughters Delilah Casper and Malia Hinchey, all of Beaufort, SC. Grandsons, Mark Rapoza (Garrett) and Peter Rapoza of the Los Angeles Area. She was preceded in death by her son, Teddy Hannah and daughter, Donna Hensley (David). Parents, Tony & Frieda Stanich.
Loretta was involved in many organizations, often as a board member. Some of the organizations she was involved with were: Catholic Daughters, Lompoc High Alumni Association, Lompoc Music Association, Right to Life group, and many others. She was creative and gifted at photography, scrapbooking and card making. She created memory books for many of the class reunions over the years. Loretta was one who liked to keep busy and enjoyed traveling. She had many friendships that she cultivated and cherished. She will be missed by many.
Funeral Services will be on Friday, October 24, 2014 at La Purisima Catholic Church, 213 West Olive Ave, Lompoc. Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM followed by burial at the Lompoc Cemetery. We ask those attending the service to please enter from the side doors and avoid the front of the church as it is undergoing needed repairs.
