Loretta Marie Yatsko of Lompoc died Sunday, September 6, 2015, at the age of 71.
Loretta was born September 18, 1943 in Newton, Massachusetts to Patrick and Annie Grealy. She was employed as a nurse for many years. She also worked in special education and transportation with the Lompoc Unified School District for 15 years. Formerly of Santa Ana, she has been a resident of Lompoc for 41 years. She was a member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening in her free time.
Loretta was preceded in death by her husband Major Anthony Yatsko, Sr., United States Marine Corps. She is survived by her son Adam Yatsko and his wife Jessica; her son Anthony Yatsko; her sisters Edna Gonzales and Ruth Rich; her brothers Patrick and Michael Grealy; and her grandchildren Tyler and Kelly.
The visitation will be Friday, September 11, from 5 to 8 pm, with the recitation of the holy rosary beginning at 7 pm in the chapel of the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. Father Lawrence Santos will celebrate the mass of Christian burial on Saturday, September 12, at 10 am at Queen of Angels Catholic Church. A reception for relatives and close friends will follow the mass at the Cabrillo High School cafeteria. Interment will be in the Saint Mary of the Assumption Cemetery in McAdoo, Pennsylvania.
