Obituary

Louie Guerra, 97, passed away peacefully in his sleep Thursday, October 16, 2025 at his home in Lompoc California.

Louie was born July 31,1928 in Lompoc, CA to parents Antonio (Tony) Guerra and Stella (Noni) Pastre Guerra, who immigrated from northern Italy in 1911 and 1922.

Louie loved farming and all of his John Deere tractors and even continued to work after his so called retirement in 1998 all the way up until July 2024. Louie was a long time Elks Lodge Member of 55 years, and he was a regular at the Chumash Casino, and he never met a sweet that he didn't love.

Louie cofounded Guerra Custom Farming in 1978 with his son Robert Guerra, and continued relationship with several farmers in the community throughout the years.  In addition to work he loved fishing, hunting and traveling with his late wife Norma.

Louie married his one and only love Norma Guerra on June 27, 1949 where they built their forever home in the hills of Lompoc in 1980's until her death March 2, 1993.

Louie is survived by his three sons Steven (Carrie), Robert (Sue) and Daniel (Linda) Guerra.

Louie leave a legacy of nine grandchildren Macee Alley (Dylan),  Brian (Sharene) Brent (Miriam), Kevin Guerra, Bethany Covington (Brenton), Justin Guerra, Russ Guerra, Christine Bustamante, and Phillip Bustamante. His Great Grand children Curren Alley Rose, Timber Alley Tyler (Brysen), Sierra Guerra,  Makenzie Guerra, Carter Guerra, Draper Guerra,  Hayden Covington, Decker Guerra and one great great grandson Rowan Rose.

Louie is also survived by his sister Della Guerra Rider and her family.  Proceeded in death Mike Guerra and Mary Beattie Guerra.

Louie also leave behind his companion of many years Maxine (Marty) Sudden.

Louie will be remembered for his work ethic, kind heart,  devotion to his family and friends, and his love for anything chocolate.

Funeral service will be held October 28, 2025 at 11am at Lompoc Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations made be made the National Breast Cancer Foundation. fundraise.nbcf.org/give
