Lula May "Connie" Johnson, 89, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2018, in Lompoc, California.  Born July 29, 1929, in Alabama, she is predeceased by her parents, Vernon Emmett Conner and Doris Maxine (Fletcher) Conner, her brother Robert Fletcher, and her late husband of 64 years, Elston F. "Johnny" Johnson.

While her husband served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars, Connie kept the home-fires burning as a full- time homemaker. Her gardens were her joy; she could grow anything from the tiniest green start. She enjoyed tending to the birds in her backyard, especially her hummingbirds. She was an excellent cook and talented seamstress.

She is survived by her sons Larry and his wife Toni, and Thomas and his wife Janet; two grandchildren Amber Bornhauser and Carey Griffin; great grandchildren Katherine Jenkins, Alison Bornhauser and Margaret Griffin; and great- great grandchildren William, Evelyn and Annabelle Jenkins.

Private services and burial will be held December 7, 2018, in Lompoc, California.
