After a long struggle with cancer, Lydia P. Lizama passed away peacefully in her home Jan. 2, 2012 surrounded by family.
Born in Sumay, Guam Jan. 3, 1936 and raised in neighboring Santa Rita, she graduated from Presentation College, S.D. and later worked as Head Pediatrics Nurse at Guam Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jose C. Lizama, their four children and their families.
Son Joseph and Jackie and their children Ashlee, Anabella, Arianna and Alexandria.
Daughter Virginia Lizama.
Son Victor and his wife, Kimberly, their children Tyler, Alexis, Jacob and Joshua.
Daughter Melissa and her husband, Anthony Sciacca, their children Iolani, Anthony, MichaelAnthony and Kiana Isabella.
Sisters Dolly and Annie, Brother Peter, Sister-in-Law Beatrice and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joaquin D. And Virginia P., her brothers, Ricardo and Victor, and her eldest son, Jose Victor.
She will be remembered by countless extended family members and friends who were blessed to have known her.
A viewing is will be held Wednesday, Jan 11th, from 4 to 8PM at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary with a Vigil Service at 6PM.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00a.m. on Thursday, Jan 12th at La Purisima Catholic Church. Internment will follow at the Lompoc Cemetery. Her celebration of life will be held immediately after at the La Purisma Parish Hall.
