IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lynn
Bond
June 17, 1945 – October 11, 2020
Lynn Bond was one of those men who was bigger than life. He served in Vietnam. He was a retired firefighter from Vandenberg AFB. Many firefighters still consider him somewhat of a legend. He was an avid bowler with his fair share of 300 games and he organized many teams for bowling tournaments. He loved Alaska and fishing was his absolute passion which he shared with his best friend Bill Brooks.
Lynn was two years shy of his 50th wedding anniversary. He is survived by his wife Coralee, his sons Jeremy and Devin; he had 5 grandchildren: Ashton, Kaeden, Teagen and twins Courtlyn and Reece. He was a loving and loyal friend. A cherished husband, father and grandfather. After a bout of pneumonia, he had a heart attack and passed away at his home on October 11, 2020.
Due to Covid, there will be no services at this time. There is a Celebration of Life planned sometime in the future; neighbors and friends will be contacted. There will be a service with Vandenberg firefighters and family in November, which currently is in the planning stages. He will be missed by many who loved him.
