Dr. Maduka Emmanuel Agbodike

September 25, 1955 to August 7, 2024

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Dr. Maduka Emmanuel Agbodike. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, Dr. Maduka touched the lives of many. He was born on September 25, 1955, in Ihembosi, Nigeria, to Mr. Nwadawayi and Mrs. Monica Agbodike, one of eight siblings in a large and loving family.

Dr. Maduka was a brilliant scholar, excelling in his studies in Nigeria before pursuing higher education at Essex University in London. His career took him across various countries and continents as he conducted business overseas. Upon returning to Nigeria, he met the love of his life, Felicitas Agbodike, and they were blessed with four children: Kenny, Chinny, Onyema, and Ife Agbodike.

Maduka's love for his family and his determination to provide them with the best opportunities led him to pursue a life in the United States, the land of opportunity. With hard work, and the grace of GOD, he and his family made the journey to America. There, he continued to study and work tirelessly, eventually earning a Ph.D. in Management from California Coast University. His expertise in Cloud Software Design made him a sought-after specialist in the field.

His ultimate goal was to see his children graduate from a four-year university, become responsible and contributing citizens, find their significant others, and start their own families. By the grace of God, this vision became a reality.

A devout Christian, Dr. Maduka was a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ and encouraged his family to share in his faith. He remained in good health until suffering a stroke in October 2020. Through God's grace, the tireless efforts of his wife, Felicitas, and the unwavering support of his family, he persevered until he was called home to be with the Lord on August 7, 2024.

Dr. Maduka is survived by his loving wife, Felicitas; his five children: Nadine and her husband, John; Kenny and his wife, Lori; Chinny and his fiancée, Thuy; Onyema and her husband, Jason; and Ifechinyere and her fiancé, Wesley. He is also survived by his five remaining siblings: Mayrose, Augustine, Pauline, Josephine, and Benedette. Additionally, he leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Tilly, Toby, Talula, Tyler, Cadence, Charity, Connor, and Nkechi, who is expected to join the family in December and a great grandchild Dolly.

May his soul rest in peace until we meet again in Heaven.

The funeral service will be Friday, August 23, 2024, at 11am at the Lompoc Valley Baptist Church followed by burial in the Lompoc Cemetery.
