Manuela Gonzales Martinez, "Bullets" a lifelong Lompoc resident, died peacefully at home Tuesday, April 30, surrounded by family.

An office manager and medical biller, Manuela assisted patients at the medical office of Dr. Bernard I. Weinstock, MD for over 20 years.

She was a proud 1980 honor roll graduate of Cabrillo High School.  She loved family gatherings and could often be seen dancing to her favorite music, including anything from the 70s and 80s and her favorite group Los Bukis.  She spent evenings with friends and family at the casino.  She also was a rodeo fan, especially the PBR, Professional Bull Riders League.

Born March 15, 1962, she was the daughter of Manuela G. Gonzales and the late Albert Gonzales II. Married to Efrain Martinez, they celebrated their 21st anniversary last Nov. 16.

In addition to her husband and her mother, she is survived by her loving daughter and son, Victoria West and Andres Hernandez of Lompoc.  She is also survived by her siblings Francisca Sosa, Albert Gonzales III, Maria Del Pilar Aramburo (Arcenio) all of Lompoc.  Her loving grandchildren Ricardo Hernandez, Josiah West, and Andres Hernandez Jr. survive her as well along with many godchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her father Albert Gonzales II, brother, Ricardo Gonzales; sister, Maria Guadalupe Gonzales and brother, Joseph Gonzales; and brother-in-law Miguel Sosa.

A viewing will take place from 4-6 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2024, Starbuck-Lind Mortuary with a 6 p.m. Vigil to follow.  A Mass will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at La Purisima Catholic Church with a 2 p.m. graveside at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
