Services for Marcel Andre Donars will be held at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 2 PM, followed by a graveside service at the Lompoc Cemetery. Friends and family are also welcome to join the Donars family for a celebration of Marc's life at the Donars' residence at 520 St. Andrews Way in Lompoc.

Marc was born March 14, 1934, to Louis and Marie Donars in Greenwich, CT. He attended Brunswick High School, where he was involved in football, music and many other activities. Marc also attended the University of Bridgeport and Cal Poly.

Marc worked for Lockheed Missiles and Space Company from 1960 to 1990, where he worked a variety of positions including Program Manager, Test Conductor and Lead Mechanical Engineer. Marc was very proud to work for Lockheed, he made lifelong friends there and was well respected by his peers.

Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years Jonnie Lou Donars, his children Samuel and daughter-in-law Elaine, Matt Donars and daughter-in-law Gina, and Michelle Hodapp and son-in-law Chris, his grandchildren, Marc Donars, Michael and Laura Hodapp, Melanie and Eddie Manning, and Andrew, Katelyn and Adam Donars.

Marc was loved by so many people that are going to miss him terribly. He had a loving heart that he shared with everyone. His family was his life, his purpose, his everything. He cherished his Jonnie Lou, making sure that she knew she was always loved. He did lots of little things for her, such as having candles lit, the fireplace going and her pajamas laid out for her when she would arrive home in the evening.
