Obituary
Services for Marga McDevitt, 74, of Vandenberg Village, will be at 10:00 am,
Saturday, June 7, 2008 at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery with Pastor John Reil of
Peace Lutheran Church officiating.
She died Saturday, May 31, 2008 at home.
Mrs. McDevitt was born March 31, 1934 in Darmstadt, Germany to Philipp and
Berta Benz.
She was married to Richard McDevitt for 43 years, before he preceded her in
death in 2001.
Survivors included her daughter, Stacy Lauderdale, son in law, David
Lauderdale of Lompoc, sister, Lisa Gamboa, brother in law, Mikel Gamboa of
Lompoc. Also nieces Margarethe Duncan of Nebraska, Karen Fields of
Idaho, Joni Maiden of Lompoc and nephews Otto Layman of Santa Barbara and
Fips Gamboa of Santa Maria.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer
Society, 604 East Ocean Ave.,Lompoc, 93436.
